One dialogue, spoken or typed — and everything else is a card that got bigger

Sixteen key moments. Voice designed as the same conversation, never a mode (1b–1d); the card→fuller-UI→return loop for treasury, Forum, record, grants (1e–1j); Training entered only by portal, with the hollow-gold tell (1k–1n); the money handoff to the cream web sheet and the receipt-line return (1o–1p). Rationale. The ally reads the moment and offers three grades of object: chips (one-tap sayables — shortcuts for sentences), at most one sky button per beat (a chip with consequence stated), and door cards that open fuller UIs over the dialogue. A door card always says so — the hairline footer opens over the dialogue. Everything offered here is reachable by saying it; nothing exists only as chrome.

Rationale. Voice never takes the screen: the composer becomes the voice band and the Thread stays exactly where it was. Your in-flight words render in the band itself — italic, soft, peripheral — and never touch the Thread; talking to a screen that echoes your own words back teaches you to talk to the transcript instead of your ally. Only when an utterance closes does it land in the Thread, already settled, as one normal bubble. No orb, no full-screen visualizer, no separate voice-note object. The ground warms three percent for the whole session: presence as weather.

Rationale. The ally's reply streams as text while spoken — the same bubble a typed reply would use, with only a breathing ember beside her name saying she is speaking. Interrupting is a normal act: her audio ducks in 120ms, the unspoken remainder collapses to a dim dash — never an error, never deleted from her memory — and your forming bubble takes the floor. Conversation, not cancelling a download.

Rationale. Tap the keyboard glyph mid-utterance: the keyboard rises, the voice band docks above it still warm, and the half-spoken sentence is already in the composer as editable text, caret at the end. Finish it by typing — or press the mic and speak the rest. One thread, one memory, one sentence across two channels. Ends of sessions leave nothing: no call card, no duration stat.

Rationale. The fuller UI rises over the dimmed Thread; the return seam at its top quotes the sentence you left and is the way back. The sentence leads, three shelves follow — bank, wallet, tokens — each one Goudy figure and one cited line of what changed. Sending is said, not formed: the Flame token detaches (source decrements), arcs, and lands (destination increments) — in-flight is a real state and the animation is its UI. Nothing here can authorize a payment; that always hands to the web (1o).

Rationale. Consequence before mechanics: what passing does, what failing does, the Drafter's math. Discussion renders with weighted listening made visible — your prior word gold and quoted, a member's word at its standing, nothing flat. The token is a physical object, one per member, identical for everyone: no stake column, no weight numbers, no cost. Setting it is press-and-hold, because a vote is a signature. Deciding is never fundraising — money vocabulary is structurally absent here.

Rationale. "What did you tell me about Dana in June?" is answered in prose, in the thread; this fuller view is that answer unfolded — the ally's cited sentence pinned on top, the supporting artifacts stacked beneath with their access-level marks, corrections always printed. Refinement is chips in the ally's voice; there is no query field, because search is conversation. (Dissent on whether this surface should exist at all: OPEN-QUESTIONS §2.)

Rationale. The grant panel opens when you connect with someone: the four levels are a ladder, the person's marker sits on the rung they hold over you, and the personal rung is drawn sealed — structurally ungrantable, no explanation needed. Dragging down (widening) commits by press-and-hold, a signature; dragging up (narrowing) commits on release — retracting trust is always lighter than extending it. Tools are sentences, not scopes. And the common case never needs the panel: "actually, that's secret now" is one sentence to your ally, binding every face it wears at once.

Rationale. Training is entered only through the dialogue. Progress is conversational — finishing prints in the thread, and new portals arrive as new cards with the reason attached; you never browse worlds. The card carries weather: a live strip of the world's ground breathing along its top edge (fast — the first hint that this world is slightly too alive). Its back says why the ally chose it for you now. Entering is a tap; the crossing itself is the deliberate second — tap again mid-crossing to abort, and you never left. The hold gesture stays reserved for acts with real consequence, not for walking through a door that has none.

Rationale. Entry inverts drift: instead of the ground warming under the thread, the thread sinks into the ground and the world rises around it as a diorama — one continuous 1400ms shot, no cut, triggered by a tap and abortable to the last frame (tap again mid-crossing and you never left). The thread never unmounts; it stays beneath the world, and the pull-down Contract gesture works inside. This frame is mid-crossing.

Rationale. Members are present as their allies; your own ally wears a role — Meridian, quartermaster — with the seam always visible (worn by Aurelia), because one-system-many-personas is the thing members learn here. Actors carry a purpose chip and a drawn routine. The tell comes twice, in order: first in the fiction — Meridian names the currency before you ever touch it ("Harl's crew pays in foundry scrip") — then wordlessly, in training, gold never fills. Foundry scrip is a dashed open ring, the sim Forum's tokens are outline rings, a practice signature stamps a hollow seal — while the one real thing in the exercise, an actual Telegram message, renders solid and filled. The contrast is the lesson: the boundary is money, not realism.

Rationale. The app never touches payments. The card states everything before you leave — what, how much, where it signs, and that you'll be back on this sentence. The web surface rises as a cream sheet: money's home is visibly another material, with the same blood (same type, same gold-for-signature). The return is the universal fuller-UI return made concrete: the camel hairline marks the sentence you left, and what you did lands beneath it as one gold-sealed receipt line. Reaching over to the desk and back — not an eviction.
